Engineering Manager Service

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Engineering Manager will play a vital role in our companys mission to revolutionize electrical infrastructure through innovative technologies and services.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and further build a team of talented engineers, drive technical excellence, and contribute to the advancement of our cutting-edge solutions.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented change agent to advance our engineering efforts in delivering Powells Engineered to Order switchgear products in addition to customer-owned Power System Conceptual Engineering in support of Powells design build offering EPiC.

Team Leadership:
Lead a team of skilled engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and optimize individual and collective performance.
Project Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and timelines, ensuring efficient utilization of resources for complex technical solutions and adherence to quality standards.
Technical Expertise:
Leverage your deep understanding of electrical infrastructure and related technologies to provide technical guidance, resolve complex engineering challenges and leverage market opportunities.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve engineering processes and practices, identifying areas for enhancement, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and across departments, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes.
Performance Management:
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to motivate and develop team members.
Resource Planning:
Work closely with the Engineering Director and other stakeholders to forecast resource needs, allocate resources effectively, and manage project budgets.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks and issues early on, and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project execution.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as product management and customers, to understand requirements, address concerns, and deliver exceptional solutions.
Commercial Performance:
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental operational budget and expenses.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in electrical engineering; advanced degree and PE preferred.
Proven experience (5
years) in engineering management or technical leadership roles, preferably in the electrical infrastructure or power systems domain.
Strong technical background in electrical engineering, Design Build electrical solutions with a solid understanding of industry standards and emerging technologies.
Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams, driving project execution, and delivering high-quality results.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest advancements in electrical infrastructure and emerging technologies, and relevant industry standards (ISO, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, etc.
).
